How to get toPoole’s Caverncar-free

Visit Poole’s Cavern car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

Take a scenic train ride from Manchester Piccadilly to Buxton through the Peak District. From the station, you can either walk through the spa town (30 minutes) or catch a local bus part of the way, such as hourly bus 58 to Macclesfield Road – our journey planner will show you train and bus times and walking routes.

The Transpeak bus also runs between Derby and Matlock via Buxton Market Place. A Buxton PlusBus ticket can be bought with a train ticket, for unlimited travel across the Peak District National Park.
