About Us
Good Journey champions car-free leisure travel. We believe everyone should have access to culture, leisure and nature, without needing a car. We want every visitor attraction in the UK to welcome people by train, bus, bike and foot. We feature over 400 attractions to visit car-free and enjoy up to 50% off entry.
Working in partnership
Good Journey works with pioneering attractions like Blenheim Palace and Holkham who are leading the way on sustainability, as well as organisations like The National Trust, RHS and English Heritage. We also have a long-term partnership with leading public transport information provider Traveline.
Cutting carbon
Leisure travel is now one of the top causes of UK greenhouse emissions. Around 60% of scope 3 (indirect) CO2 emissions from attractions is from visitors’ cars. Getting more visitors arriving by train, bus, bike and foot is key to achieving net zero together. It also opens up access for the 24% of UK households without a car – making everyone welcome.
Our story
Good Journey launched in 2018 – supported by a coalition of transport and conservation organisations – to address the need for more sustainable visitor travel in the UK. Founder/Director Nat Taplin has been promoting sustainable transport and tourism for over 25 years. We’re passionate about helping more people enjoy car-free adventures.
