FAQs

What is the Good Journey Mark?
It’s a ‘membership badge’ to recognise attractions and venues which welcome and reward car-free visitors.

What do you mean by car-free?
Journeys made without a private car – by train, bus, bike, foot, tram, ferry or taxi. We want to give people a real choice about how to travel.

Isn’t it more expensive by public transport?
There are lots of ways to save money on train and bus (over 60s can get free bus travel!) – see our travel trips page. And you’ll get a discount at Good Journey Mark attractions when you arrive car-free.

How can I find travel directions?
Every Good Journey attraction has its own page on this website, with step-by-step travel directions – including a journey planner giving bus and train times from anywhere in the country.

Look out for the Good Journey Mark – where car-free visitors are welcome and enjoy a discount
