How to get to Carding Mill Valley car-free:

There are direct trains to Church Stretton from Shrewsbury, Hereford, Manchester and north and south Wales. From the midlands, it’s just one change in Shrewsbury.

Train times and tickets

From Church Stretton station it's an easy 15-minute walk through the village to Carding Mill Valley, then a further 15 minutes' stream-side stroll to the visitor centre and tea room.

Bus 435 also runs hourly, Monday to Friday from Shrewsbury and Ludlow, stopping at the entrance to Carding Mill Valley. Buses run every 2 hours on Saturday (no buses on Sunday).
