You can catch an open-top bus with sandy seaside views via Caister-on-Sea from Great Yarmouth. Buses run frequently and take 30 minutes.
There are direct trains to Great Yarmouth from Norwich (35 mins). At Norwich there are connections from around the country.

There are direct trains to Norwich from: London Liverpool Street (about 105 mins), London Stratford International (105 mins), Cambridge (75 mins), Peterborough (85 mins), Nottingham (2.5 hrs), Sheffield (3hrs 40 mins), Manchester Piccadilly (4.5 hrs), Liverpool Lime Street (5.5 hrs or change), Colchester (60 mins), Thetford (50 mins), Ipswich (40 mins), Lowestoft (40 mins on the scenic Wherry Lines), Cromer and Sheringham (30-20 mins on the scenic Bittern Line), Attleborough (20 mins) and Wymondham (15 mins).
There is also a bus to Norwich from Peterborough, as well as other towns in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Change for the regular direct train to Great Yarmouth from Norwich (35 mins) on the scenic Wherry Lines, calling at: Brundall Gardens, Brundall, Lingwood and Acle.
Summer open-top bus from Great Yarmouth
Walk for about 15 minutes to Britannia Pier bus stop. Bus 1C Clipper Cabriolet stops outside. Buses run frequently. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Jump off at Seacroft Holiday Centre.
Year-round bus from Great Yarmouth
Walk for about 5 minutes to Fizalan Close bus stop. Bus 1 and bus 1A Coastal Clippers stop nearby. Buses run frequently (regularly on Sunday). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Jump off at Kingsway Shops. It’s then an about 10 minute stroll through the village.

There are direct coaches to Great Yarmouth from: Cambridge (coach 727) and London (coach 491).
There are direct buses to Great Yarmouth from: Beccles and Bungay (55 mins, bus 580), Lowestoft (55 mins, bus 1 & 1A, and bus X1) North Walsham (70 mins, bus 6 & X6) and Norwich (40 mins, buses X1, X11 and 7).
