Visit Wensleydale Railway car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

There are direct trains to Northallerton from throughout the north of England – it’s just 20 minutes’ ride from York, or 45 minutes from Newcastle. 

Then hop on bus 73 (to Bedale), from the bus stop across the road from the station. It’s a 15-minute ride to Leeming Bar (Fairview Flats stop) and less than 5 minutes’ walk to the Railway.
