Visit Helmsley Castle car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

From Scarborough or Pickering hop on bus 128 which runs hourly all the way to Helmsley Market Place, a short stroll from the castle entrance.

From York you can ride bus 31X which runs a few times a day.

From further afield you can take the train to York or Scarborough to connect with buses there.
