How to get toScarborough Castlecar-free

Visit Scarborough Castle car-free

It’s quite easy to reach Scarborough Castle car-free as it’s by the harbour, and about a 20-minute stroll from the train station.

Buses run to Scarborough from: Bridlington, Filey, Whitby, Middlesbrough, Leeds and York. Use our journey planner to get the best route from where you are.

There are direct trains to Scarborough from: Filey (about 15 mins), York (50 mins), Hull, Leeds (80 mins) and Sheffield. When you travel by train, a Scarborough PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited travel by bus around the town.
