2 Step-by-step

There are regular trains to Harrogate from Leeds and York National Rail.

The bus station is right by the train station. Take No.6 bus, which leaves every 30 mins from Stand 3 (or X6/X6A Stand 6). It’s a 10 minute ride to Harlow Carr – get off at the Shepherd’s Dog pub on Otley Road.

From the bus stop it's a 10 minute walk to the Garden (see map).

Alternatively, you can walk from Harrogate town centre, through Valley Gardens to Harlow Carr in an under an hour - see map. You can also download a special walk leaflet from the Harlow Carr website, with a voucher for discount entry.

Bike routes

Harrogate is on NCN Route 67. It’s a 2-mile cycle from Harrogate station to Harlow Carr, following the path through Valley Gardens. There is plenty of cycle parking at the Garden.

There is a taxi rank at Harrogate Station. The fare to Harlow Carr is around £8.
