How to get to Scampston Hall & Gardens car-free:
There are regular trains to Malton from Manchester, Leeds, York and Scarborough.
Train times and ticketsAt Malton, hop on Coastliner bus 843 for the 10-minute ride to Scampston. Get off at ‘Scampston Lane End’, near Rillington.
From the bus stop it's a 15-minute stroll down the lane to Scampston - see map (map also shows where to catch bus back)
Open mapIf you’re travelling from Leeds, York or Scarborough (especially if you’ve got a bus pass), you might prefer to ride the Coastliner bus to Scampston.

It’s a 6.5 mile cycle from Malton Station – there’s a cycle path next to the A64 – see cyclestreets. Or you can choose a more leisurely route on quiet lanes.
You can get a taxi from Malton station to Scampston for a set fare of £11 from Station Taxis 01653 696969 – quote ‘Hybrid’ when booking.
