At Malton, hop on the 843/845 Coastliner bus for the 10 minute ride to Scampston. Get off at ‘Scampston Lane End’ (the stop after Rillington).
From the bus stop it's a 15 minute stroll down the lane to Scampston - see map (map also shows where to catch bus back)
3 Plan your car-free journey
It’s a 6.5 mile cycle from Malton Station – there’s a cycle path next to the A64 – see cyclestreets. Or you can choose a more leisurely route on quiet lanes.
You can get a taxi from Malton station to Scampston for a set fare of £11 from Station Taxis 01653 696969 – quote ‘Hybrid’ when booking.
