Bus 40 runs regularly from Poole via Wareham Station to Corfe Castle. It’s about a 55-minute ride to Corfe Castle.

Bus 40 also runs to/from Swanage, where it connects with the scenic bus 50 from Bournemouth via Sandbanks Ferry and Studland.

During the summer, scenic buses 30 and 40 runs to Corfe Castle.

There’s an hourly train service to Wareham from London, Winchester, Southampton, Bournemouth and Poole, also from Weymouth and Dorchester. Bus 40 picks up outside Wareham station for the 20-minute journey to Corfe Castle.

About NT Corfe Castle

Romantic castle ruins with breathtaking views across the Purbeck Hills. The castle is a survivor of the English Civil War, partially demolished in 1646 by the Parliamentarians.
