These bespoke tours start from an agreed point, often from a train or bus station in Windermere, Kendal or Oxenholme. You can use the journey planner above to find train and bus times to the start of your tour.

There are regular trains to Windermere, in the heart of the Lakes, from Manchester Airport, Manchester Piccadilly, Lancaster and Oxenholme. Oxenholme has direct trains from Edinburgh, Glasgow Central, London Euston and Manchester Airport.

Windermere also has some scenic buses from outside the railway station heading all over the Lakes. These include hourly bus 555, which runs all the way to Keswick via Ambleside and Grasmere, and bus 599  (every 25 minutes) from Windermere to Bowness and Kendal.
