One of Edward I’s huge medieval fortresses, grey-sandstone Harlech rises from a rocky outcrop 100 feet above the sea. It’s linked to legends of the Welsh princess Branwen, inspired the rousing song “Men of Harlech”, and has a spectacular new “floating bridge” for visitors to enter.
