Step inside Tabitha Twitchit's Bookshop to browse and buy second-hand books. This 17th century Lake District building in the heart of Hawkshead is the former Beatrix Potter Gallery. The building was gifted to the National Trust by Beatrix Potter’s husband William Heelis, and is thought to be the place where they met.
