Visit The Scarlet Hotel car-free
From Newquay railway station, bus 56 heads along the scenic Cornish coast. After about 30 minutes, it stops at Tredragon Road in Mawgan Porth, less than five minutes’ walk from the Scarlet. There’s also an open-top bus in the summer.
There are trains to Newquay from Par on the London-Paddington-Penzance mainline railway. The scenic branch line from Par to Newquay links the south and north coasts of Cornwall.
You can also catch bus 21 or bus 2 from St Austell train station, or bus U1 or bus U1A from Truro train station to Newquay.
The Scarlet stands right on the epic South West Coast Path and has covered bike racks for cyclists.
