Visit Eden Project car-free
There’s a regular bus direct from St Austell train station to the Eden Project (except Sundays and Bank Holidays) and there are excellent bus and rail connections at St Austell from Cornish towns and further afield. Our journey planner will show you train and bus times and walking routes.

National Routes 2, 3 and 305 all converge on The Eden Project. The Clay Trails also offer off-road routes. Plan your route to Eden here.
There are bike racks in the car park and luggage lockers near the main entrance (you’ll need a £1 coin, which is returnable).
The South West Coast Path and The Saints Way both pass within 3 miles. You can also reach Eden along the Clay Trails from Bugle, St Austell, Par and Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum.

Getting to Eden Project car-free

By bus
Bus 28 (also bus 31 and bus 428) run from St Austell Bus Station (bus 28 and 428 from stand A and bus 31 from stand D) to the Eden Project in about 25 minutes. Buses run a few times per day (except Sundays and Bank Holidays).
From the bus stop at the Eden Project it’s a 5-minute walk downhill to the Reception Building.
You can connect with bus 28 at St Austell Bus Station by travelling by bus from Bodmin, Fowey, Lostwithiel, Mevagissey, Newquay and Veryan.

By train
The quickest way to get to the Eden Project is by catching the train to St Austell, on the scenic Cornish Mainline that links London to Penzance.
Trains run every 2 hours from London Paddington and Reading, also from Cardiff and Bristol. Trains run hourly from Taunton, Exeter St Davids, Newton Abbot and Totnes.
From Plymouth, Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway – also from west Cornwall stations of Penzance, St Erth, Camborne, Redruth and Truro – there are 2 trains per hour. There are also connections with the Cornish Branch line trains from Gunnislake, Looe, Newquay, Falmouth and St Ives.
On arrival at St Austell catch bus 28 from the Bus Station (Stand A) just outside, for the 25-minute ride to Eden. Buses run every hour (except Sundays and Bank Holidays).
