Visit St Michael’s Mount car-free
It’s easy to visit St Michael’s Mount car-free.
Bus U4 runs regularly from Penzance bus station (Stand E). The journey takes about 25 minutes. Hop off at Marazion playground (or the Square).
It’s then an about 15-minute walk across the causeway to the tidal island, or a seasonal boat trip.
There are also buses from: Falmouth (bus U4), Helston (bus U4), and St Erth train station (bus 15).
There are direct trains to Penzance from: Truro (40 mins), St Austell (60 mins), Bodmin Parkway (80 mins), Liskeard (85 mins), Plymouth, Bristol, Exeter and London Paddington by day or night train.

About St Michael’s Mount
This Norman castle and church is set on a dramatic tidal island, with terraced gardens cut into the cliff. The island's harbour may have been used for 2000 years. Children can look for clues in the castle quiz, or evidence of the mythical giant.
