It’s fairly easy to visit the National Maritime Museum Cornwall as it is a 5-minute stroll from Falmouth Town train station.

There are direct trains to Falmouth Town from Truro (25 mins). Change at Truro from Penzance, Plymouth, Bristol or London Paddington. When you travel by train, a Falmouth PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited travel around the Flamouth and Penryn area.

There are coaches to Falmouth from Penzance and London via Plymouth and Exeter.

Ferries from St Mawes stop outside the museum at Custom House Quay. Ferries stop a 15-20 minute walk away at Prince of Wales Pier from Flushing.

There are regular bus services to Falmouth from Newquay via Truro (bus U1 / U1A), Redruth (bus U2) and from Penzance via Helston (bus U4). These buses terminate at Falmouth Moor, from where it is a 15 -20 minute walk through the town to the NMMC, or a short ride on local buses 60 or 67.

About National Maritime Museum Cornwall

The NMMC has a range of different types of boats to look at and views across the harbour from a tower. There is also a Tidal Zone with large windows out onto the harbour, and you can learn about the sea with interactive displays. There is a small boat pool and pirate themed play area.
