Visit Racecourse Sportsground car-free
It’s easy to visit Tonbridge Racecourse Sportsground car-free.
From the train station side entrance on Platform 3, it is about a 2-minute stroll to the playground. However, on Sundays use the main entrance, which is about 5 minutes away.
There are direct trains to Tonbridge from: London Bridge (about 30 mins), Redhill (30 mins), Waterloo East (35 mins), Charing Cross (45 mins), Hastings (50 mins), Dover Priory (65 mins) and Ramsgate (85 mins). When you travel by train, a Tonbridge PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited bus travel around the town.
From the bus stop it is a 2-minute stroll to the playground.
There are buses to Tonbridge High Street from: around the town, Alders Meadow- for the lake and country park (10 mins, bus 211), Paddock Wood (20 mins, bus 205), Tunbridge Wells (30 mins, bus 7), Maidstone (60 mins, bus 7) and local villages.

About Racecourse Sportsground
Two branches of the River Medway make the park into an island. Explore by hiring a rowing boat or taking an electric boat tour from the nearby castle. The 69 acre site leads to Haysden Country Park and the wider Wealden countryside, with views of the North Downs and a cycle path to Penshurst Place. The park's facilities include: a spacious playground with: sandpit, skate park, sports pitches, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, virtual orienteering app, seasonal snack kiosk, crazy golf and a miniature railway.
