Visit Balfour Winery car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

It’s easy to reach Balfour Winery car-free.

A free shuttle bus runs at weekends from Marden train station on Saturdays and Sundays. No booking necessary, just wait at Marden station. The bus will run approx. every 20-30 minutes.

There are direct trains to Marden from: London Bridge (45 mins), Tonbridge (10 mins), Ashford (20 mins) and other Kent towns.

On Saturday and Sunday, a 7-seat shuttle bus runs from Marden train station from 10am-6pm. No booking necessary, just wait at Marden station. The bus will run approx. every 20-30 minutes.

There is no taxi rank at Marden train station, but there is one at Staplehurst. Either way, Balfour Winery recommend booking ahead with a local taxi company such as: MTC Taxis – 01622 890003 or Elba Private Hire – 01580 441302. It should take 5-10 minutes. Paddock Wood is about 20 minutes away, and Tonbridge about 25.
