The nearest train station is Darlington

From Darlington, hop on bus X26 or bus X27 (from Park Lane, right outside the station) to Richmond Market Place. The castle is just a couple of minutes walk away.

Trains to Darlington run regularly from Saltburn (about 1 hour), Edinburgh (2 hours), London Kings Cross (2½ hours), Bristol Temple Meads (4½ hours) and many other towns.
