It’s easy to reach Broads Tours car-free. The marina is on the River Bure in Wroxham, the ‘Capital of the Broads’.
There are regular direct trains to Hoveton & Wroxham from Norwich (10 mins), Sheringham (40 mins) and Cromer (30 mins). There is even a steam train from Aylsham (50 mins).
There are frequent direct buses from Norwich (35 mins). It’s then a couple of minutes stroll to Richardson’s Day Boat Hire.

Getting to Broads Tours car-free
Here's our recommended route to Broads Tours. To get bus and train times and walking routes use our journey planner.
By train
There are regular trains to Hoveton & Wroxham from Norwich (about 10 mins), Cromer (30 mins) , Sheringham (40 mins), North Walsham (15 mins), Worstead (5 mins) and West Runton (35 mins) on the scenic Bittern Line.
From the train station, it’s a 5-10 minute stroll through the village.
Hire cruiser and holiday home customers can arrange a pick-up from the train station.
By bus
Bus 12 Pink Line from Norwich runs direct to Broads Tours. Buses leave from St Stephens Street (Stop BB) frequently (none on Sundays). The journey takes about 30 minutes. Hop off at Bridge Board Close. From the bus stop it’s about a couple of minutes stroll.
By bus on Sunday
Bus 5B from Norwich runs direct to Broads Tours. Buses leave from St Stephens Street (Stop BC) regularly. The journey takes about 45 minutes. Hop off at Bridge Board Close. From the bus stop it’s about a couple of minutes stroll.
Bus 5B also runs Monday to Saturday.
By train via Norwich
The scenic Wherry Lines run to Norwich from Lowestoft (about 40 mins) and Great Yarmouth (60 mins) via Brundall (10 mins) and Acle (20 mins).
There are other services from: Wymondham (15 mins), Attleborough (20 mins), Ipswich (40 mins), Thetford (50 mins), Colchester (60 mins), Cambridge (75 mins), Peterborough (85 mins), London Liverpool Street (110 mins), London Stratford International (105 mins), Nottingham (2.5 hrs), Sheffield (3 hrs 40 mins), Manchester Piccadilly (4.5 hrs) and Liverpool Lime Street (5.5 hrs or change).
Trains run direct to Hoveton & Wroxham from Norwich in about 10 minutes. Bus 5B also leaves from the train station- see above.
By bus via Norwich
There are bus connections at Norwich from many places, including: Acle (about 20 mins, buses X1 and 7 ), Long Stratton (30 mins, bus 36 or bus 2), Wymondham (30 mins, buses 15 & 15A or bus 13), Dereham (35 mins, bus 8), Aylsham (40 mins, bus 44A & X44), Beccles (40 mins, buses 146, X2, X21 & X22) and Attleborough (45 mins, bus 13). There are also coaches from London.
Buses run direct to Wroxham from Norwich in about 35 minutes- see above.
