Visit North Yorkshire Moors Railway car-free

Bus 840 runs hourly from Malton station (Stand 1) to Pickering where the North Yorkshire Moors Railway begins. It’s about 25 minutes’ ride to the Royal Oak stop in Pickering and then a ten-minute stroll to the Railway.

There are regular trains to Malton from York (25 mins) and Scarborough (25 mins). You can also ride the Coastliner bus 843 to Malton from Leeds, York and Scarborough.

Alternatively you can take the train to Whitby (or bus 840) to join the Railway at the other end.

Pickering to Whitby over the moors on a heritage steam railway with historic trains and beautiful scenery.
