It’s easy to visit the National Waterways Museum. It’s located at Gloucester Docks, a 15- 20 minute walk through the city centre from the train and bus stations.

Trains run to Gloucester from: Worcester (35 mins), Birmingham, Bristol, Swindon and Newport (each around 50 mins). Next, either walk, or hop on the bus. Walk across the main road and past the Transport Hub to Station Road. Catch bus 8 or 10 to Spa Road.

Buses run to Gloucester from: Cheltenham (20 mins), Cirencester (45 mins), Stroud (40 mins) and Tewkesbury (40 mins), plus coaches from further afield.

Housed in a Grade II listed grain warehouse in the heart of what once was the bustling Gloucester Docks, the National Waterways Museum Gloucester charts the 200-year old history of the docks and the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal.
