It’s easy to visit Notgrove Holidays near Bourton-on-the-Water car-free, as buses stop 5 minutes’ walk away. View the locations for the Holiday Barns & Pods and Safari Tents and estate map.
Buses run to Notgrove from: Cheltenham Spa (35 mins), Moreton-in-Marsh train station (55 mins) and Chipping Norton (75 mins).

A Cotswolds Discoverer Pass gives you unlimited local travel by train and Stagecoach bus services (not in Notgrove).
An Oxfordshire Day Ranger train ticket is valid in Moreton-in-Marsh or Kingham.
View streams, fields and limestone villages from bus 801, which runs between Cheltenham and Chipping Norton via Notgrove.
View quaint hills and hear them narrated with an audio tour on the Cotswold Line from Hereford via Malverne, Charlbury (Brunel’s Italianate station) or Oxford to Kingham or Moreton-in-Marsh.
Kid’s activities are available at Platform Rail. Notgrove Holidays provides child friendly cottages too.
Bikes can be hired from Far Peak or Cotswold Cycles who will deliver and collect when booked. Bike spaces can be reserved on GWR trains.
Plan your cycle route here. There’s a bike store at the holiday barns, or you can leave bikes outside your accommodation.
Footpaths, the Diamond Way and Gloucestershire Way go through the village. The holiday barns and glamping pods are sign posted through the Village as Village Farm Holiday Barns, the Safari tents are also sign posted. The accommodation will have a walking map.
Taxis can be booked with: AR Cotswold – 07391 766555 (recommended on the Notgrove Holidays website). Local train stations are 20-30 minutes away.

Getting to Notgrove Holidays car-free
Here's our recommended route to Notgrove Holidays. To get bus and train times and walking routes use our journey planner.
By bus
Bus 801 (a scenic route operated by Pulhams) stops close by. Buses leave regularly (less on Sundays) from the following stops:
- Bourton-on-the-Water (5-10 mins)
- Cheltenham Spa (35 mins)
- Chipping Norton (75 mins)
- Moreton-in-Marsh (55 mins)
- Stow-on-the-Wold (35 mins).
Jump off at Notgrove Crossroads on the main road. Ask the driver to let you know when you arrive.
It’s then a 5-minute walk. Take the turning along one straight path, with a sign advertising a laundry. This is a lane without a pavement, but it is quiet and flat.
By train and bus
There are direct trains to Moreton-in-Marsh from:
- Cotswolds Line + audio guide: Charlbury (15 mins), Evesham (15 mins), Great Malvern (60 mins), Hereford (95 mins), Ledbury (80 mins), Oxford (35 mins), Worcestershire Parkway (25 mins), Worcester Shrub Hill (30 mins).
- London line audio guide: Didcot Parkway (55 mins), London Paddington (85 mins), Reading (55 mins).
- From Birmingham you can change at Worcester (30 mins).
