It’s easy, as The Wave is located in Coventry city centre. Buses stop almost outside and the train station is a 10-minute walk away.
Trains run from: Birmingham New Street (20 mins), Milton Keynes (35 mins), Oxford (50 mins), London Euston (55 mins), Stafford (60 mins) and many other stations.
Buses run from: Solihull (65 mins), Leicester (75 mins), Birmingham (85 mins) and towns across Warwickshire.

When you travel by train, a Coventry PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited travel by bus and tram across the entire West Midlands. Otherwise, try a West Midlands network ticket.
View the Kenilworth Castle and Coventry Cathedral from trains on the Elephant and Bear Line, which runs between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa. Kid’s activity books can be downloaded to accompany your journey.
Cycle path, National Route 52 runs along the nearby canal. You can hire bikes from West Midlands Cycle Hire at Foregate Boulevard near the train station and other locations. Park your own bike at The Wave. Plan your route here
Footpaths Coventry Canal Walk and Oxford Canal Walk are a 15-minute walk from the museum. Please use the footbridge over the inner ring-road. You can also explore the city centre with rail trails (the park is near ‘9’ on the Coventry map). The park is close to the Coventry Peace Trail too.

By foot
- It’s about a 10-minute stroll from Coventry train station to The Wave. Walk towards the cathedral spire.
- ‘Upon exiting from the station (north with visitor information centre), keep walking forward, past Friargate building and reach the crossing.
- Cross road and continue forward alongside B4544 road.
- Continue following the path roundabout until you reach the New Union St crossing.
- Cross road and turn right, following the pathway towards The Wave.’

By bus
- Bus X30 leaves frequently from Station Square. The journey takes a couple of minutes. Buses stop at The Wave.
- Bus 12X leaves frequently from the Rail Station Bridge shelter. This is on the far-side of the road to the Right of the station. The journey takes about a couple of minutes. Buses stop at The Wave.
By bus

Coventry – The Coventry City Centre bus map shows the museum on the right. Most buses stop outside at stops labelled ‘BS’. Otherwise, jump off at either Pool Meadow bus station, or one of the nearby ‘TS’ or ‘BS’ bus stops.
