View the Kenilworth Castle and Coventry Cathedral from trains on the Elephant and Bear Line, which runs between Nuneaton and Leamington Spa. Kid’s activity books can be downloaded to accompany your journey.
Cycle path, National Route 52 runs along the nearby canal. You can hire bikes from West Midlands Cycle Hire at the museum or Foregate Boulevard near the train station. Park your own bike at the museum. Plan your route here
Footpaths Coventry Canal Walk and Oxford Canal Walk are a 15-minute walk from the museum. Please use the footbridge over the inner ring-road.

It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from Coventry train station to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. Walk towards the cathedral spire. From outside the station, turn Right onto Park Road. When you reach the main road, follow the footpaths (beside house 41) under, to the Left. Continue along Little Park Street, and turn Right onto Jordan Well.
