Go North East bus X30 and bus X31 run frequently from Newcastle Eldon Square Bus Station (Stand D) to Sunniside (Burdon Plain Stop) which is right by Andrews House Station, and a short walk from Marley Hill Shed site. Or stay on the bus to Causey Arch Country Park, which is just a 10-minute walk from Causey Arch Station, or to Kiphill Garage, for a 20-minute walk to East Tanfield Station. Check the Tanfield Railway website before travelling to find out which station your train will depart from.  

If you are coming from further afield, the nearest station is Newcastle, with regular LNER trains from London, York and Darlington, also from Edinburgh and Berwick. There are also trains from Manchester, Leeds, Carlisle Hexham, Morpeth, Middlesborough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Sunderland. From the station it’s a short walk to Neville Street (Stop E) for buses X30 and X31 to the Tanfield Railway.
