It’s quite easy to reach Snowdon Mountain Railway in central Llanberis car-free.

Regular buses stop a minute away from: Bangor (bus S2, 50 mins), Betwys-y-Coed (bus S1, 40 mins), Caernarfon (bus S1, 25 mins) and Pen-y-Pass (bus S5 and bus S1, 15 mins).

There are direct trains to Bangor from: Llandudno Junction (15 mins), Hollyhead (25 mins), Chester (65 mins), Crewe (85 mins), Stafford (105 mins), Birmingham, Manchester and London. Buses leave from the train station at stop H.

About Snowdon Mountain Railway

Seasonal, traditional style trains climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) past a viaduct and waterfall. At the top there is a visitor centre (Hafod Eryri), from where you might be able to see as far as Ireland!
