How to get toRSPB Sherwood Forestcar-free

Visit RSPB Sherwood Forest car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

From Nottingham’s Victoria bus station, the Sherwood Arrow bus runs regularly  (less on Sundays), direct to RSPB Sherwood, stopping outside the visitor centre. It takes about an hour.

From Mansfield, bus 14 also runs regularly (none on Sundays) and stops at Royal Oak pub in Edwinstowe. RSPB Sherwood Forest is short walk from there along Church Street and left into Forest Corner.

The restaurant, marked nature trails, Robin Hood connections and an 800-year-old oak tree are attractions in this wooded reserve in a former royal hunting forest.
