How to get toMarwell Zoocar-free

Visit Marwell Zoo car-free

Visit by bus for just £2 each way. Most buses in England are offering £2 Single Fares until 31st December 2024. Our journey planner will show you if your route is included, or you can find a full list of participating operators and routes here.

On Monday to Saturday, bus 69 runs regularly from Winchester bus station (about 25 mins, Stand E) and Fareham (65 mins). Ask the driver for the Fishers Pond stop, from where it’s a one-mile walk to the zoo, along quite busy roads.

On Sundays, bus 69 runs direct to from Winchester bus station (Stand E) to Marwell Zoo car park. Buses run a few times per day and the journey takes about 30 minutes.

If you’re coming from further afield Winchester to catch the bus, as above. There are direct trains from: London Waterloo (about 55 mins), Clapham Junction (50 mins), Oxford (70 mins), Bournemouth (55 mins), Southampton (15 mins), Poole (70 mins), Reading (35 mins), Basingstoke (15 mins), Portsmouth (40 mins), Fareham (25 mins) and Eastleigh (10 mins).
