Cyclists welcome. National Route 22 runs right through Alice Holt Forest and continues to Farnham, Bordon and Petersfield. Plan your cycle route here.

Getting to Alice Holt Forest car-free

By bus
Bus 18 runs hourly (2-hourly Sundays) between Aldershot, Farnham and Bordon. The bus calls at Farnham Rail Station. From there it’s a 15-minute bus ride, hop off in the village of Bucks Horn Oak.
From the bus stop it’s an easy 15-minute walk to the visitor centre. Use our journey planner to get bus times and walking route.
By train
There are regular trains to Farnham from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Woking and Guildford. Then take the bus, as above.
Alternatively, you can take the train to Bentley from London Waterloo or Alton and walk through the forest from there. Use our journey planner to get train times and walking routes.
About Alice Holt Forest
Explore a royal Hampshire forest on a choice of four walking trails and two cycling trails, as well as a Timberline play trail for children. There's a Go Ape Tree Top Adventure and play areas with animal play structures and Gruffalo sculptures. There's also a picnic area, BBQ hire and a cafe.
