Visit City Explorer Liverpool car-free
It’s easy to get to the City Explorer Liverpool tours car-free. Buses are hop-on-hop-off, but start at Royal Albert Dock at Liverpool Waterfront near Chinatown.
Royal Albert Dock is a short stroll to the train stations: James Street (about 10 mins), Central (10 mins), Moorfields (15 mins) and Lime Street (15 mins).
There are direct trains to James Street from: Chester, Ellesmere Port, New Brighton and West Kirby; to Central from: Hunts Cross, Kirkby, Ormskirk and Southport; and to Liverpool Lime Street from Manchester Victoria (about 40 mins), Leeds (90 mins), Sheffield (105 mins) and many other local towns and cities across England.
When you travel by train, a Liverpool PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited travel around the city by bus. Many buses stop in the area, such as bus 500 from John Lennon Airport and buses 101, 204 and 27.
