There are frequent buses to Beaconsfield from nearby towns. From High Wycombe you can hop on buses 102, 103 or 104. Catch buses 102 or 104 from Uxbridge, or bus 103 from Watford, Rickmansworth or Amersham. Get off at Maxwell Road, for a 15-minute stroll to Bekonscot.

There are also regular trains to Beaconsfield from London Marylebone, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Bicester, Oxford, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Birmingham. It’s a 30-minute train ride from London and then a 10-minute walk to Bekconscot.

Bekonscot Model Village is the world’s oldest and original model village, which opened over 90 years ago. Stuck in a 1930s time warp, discover a wonderful little world tucked away from hustle and bustle of everyday life. 1.5 acres of immaculate gardens and finely detailed model buildings, with children’s play area, with remote controlled boats. Take a ride around the grounds on the 7.25inch gauge light railway.
