It takes a little planning to visit Alton Towers Resort car-free.

Uttoxeter train station is about a 20-minute drive away, and has a taxi rank. There are direct trains to Uttoxeter from Stoke-on-Trent (about 25 mins), Crewe (50 mins), Derby (20 mins), Nottingham (60 mins) and Newark Castle (90 mins).

Occasional buses run from Stoke, Stafford, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby.
