It’s easy to visit Shipley Art Gallery car-free. It’s a twenty-minute walk from Gateshead interchange for Metro and bus services and is on several bus routes. See Google Map directions for the walking route from Gateshead Interchange to Shipley Art Gallery.

Bus 21 from Haymarket Bus station in Newcastle stops on Durham Road, just 2 minutes’ walk from the gallery.

Bus 52, a Go North East bus from Gateshead Interchange, stops directly outside the gallery on Prince Consort Road.
