It’s easy to visit Inveresk Lodge Garden car-free. It’s located to the East of Edinburgh.

Musselburgh train station is just 7 minutes’ train ride from Edinburgh Waverley. From the train station, it’s around a 15-minute walk along Clayknowes Road and then Left onto a footpath. Newcraighall train station is around a 20-minute walk along Newhailes Road.

Trains run to Musselburgh from: Dunbar (25 mins), Edinburgh Waverley (7 mins) and North Berwick (25 mins).

Bus 111 runs regularly from Musselburgh train station (less on Saturday, none on Sunday). The journey takes about 15 minutes. Bus 46 & bus 48 also run frequently to Musselburgh Grammer School, which is a 5-10 minute walk away.

Buses 30, 46 & 48 run to Newhailes Roundabout from Musselburgh train station (5 mins) and Newhailes (5 mins).

Buses also run from: Edinburgh city centre (40 mins), Eskbank (45 mins) and Shawfair (10 mins).
