It’s easy to visit the Museum of Oxford and Oxford Town Hall Cafe car-free. They’re a 15-minute stroll past the castle from Oxford train station and 10 minutes through town from the bus station.

Buses run to Oxford from: Abingdon (25 mins), Bicester, and Kidlington (30 mins), Didcot and Witney (35 mins). There are also frequent buses to the city centre from all round Oxford and surrounding towns, stopping almost outside on St Aldates street. There are direct coaches from London and many other cities.

Trains run to Oxford from: London Paddington (50 mins), London Marylebone (about 80 mins), Didcot (20 mins), Reading (25 mins), Banbury (25 mins), High Wycombe (45 mins) and beyond.
