It’s easy to reach Hastings Contemporary car-free. It’s a 20-minute stroll from Hastings train station along the seafront.

There are direct trains to Hastings from: Eastbourne (about 35 mins), Ashford, Tunbridge Wells (both 40 mins), Lewes (70 mins), Brighton (80 mins), London Charing Cross (100 mins) and London Victoria (2 hrs 10 mins). When you travel by train, a Bexhill and Hastings PlusBus ticket offers unlimited bus travel around the area.

From Hastings Station it is a 5-minute bus ride to The Stade, close to The Gallery. Catch bus 20 from Stop B (or bus 100 / 101 from Stop F).

There are also buses from Eastbourne, Bexhill, Rye, Winchelsea, Tenterden, Polegate, Hailsham, Herstmonceux, Hawkhurst, Robertsbridge, Battle, Cranbrook and Bodiam.
