Getting to Eltham Palace car-free

By bus
By train via Mottingham
Southeastern run frequent trains to Mottingham from Charing Cross, Waterloo East, London Bridge and Lewisham, also from Gravesend, Dartford and Sidcup.
From Mottingham Station, it’s a 15-minute suburban walk to Eltham Palace. Turn left along Court Road and left onto the entrance road towards the palace.
Alternatively bus 161 from stop MN outside Mottingham station can take you to Eltham Church Court Yard, which is nearer.
By train via Eltham
Eltham is also served by frequent Southeastern trains from Charing Cross, but also from Victoria via Peckham Rye. Trains also run from Dartford and Bexleyheath.
From Eltham Station, it’s a 15-minute walk to Eltham Palace.
You can also catch bus 161 from stop D for the short ride to Eltham Church Court Yard.
