How to get toCarisbrooke Castlecar-free

Visit Carisbrooke Castle car-free

There are bus connections to Carisbrooke from all over the Isle of Wight. From the centre of Newport, catch regular bus 38, bus 7 or bus 12 for about five minutes to Carisbrooke High Street. The castle is about a ten-minute stroll from here.

Bus 1 frequently connects Newport with the nearest ferry port in West Cowes.

Or catch bus 7 directly from Yarmouth, where the ferries from Lymington Pier arrive. The bus stop is right by the ferry terminal. Trains to Lymington Pier run from Brockenhurst with quick connections to stations beyond and you can book combined tickets for train and boat.
