How to get toCarisbrooke Castlecar-free

Visit Carisbrooke Castle car-free

There are bus connections to Carisbrooke from all over the Isle of Wight. From the centre of Newport (Isle of Wight Festival Temp bus stop opposite Morrisons), catch regular bus 38 or bus 7 five minutes to Carisbrooke High Street. The castle is a ten-minute stroll from here.

Bus 1, every 15 minutes, connects Newport with the nearest ferry port in West Cowes.

Or catch bus 7 directly from Yarmouth, where the ferries from Lymington Pier arrive. The bus stop is right by the ferry terminal. Trains to Lymington Pier run from Brockenhurst with quick connections to stations beyond and you can book combined tickets for train and boat.
