From Bath, hop on bus U1, which runs to The Avenue at Bath University every 15 minutes. The museum is a 15- minutes’ walk from the bus stop. The buses go from Dorchester Street, very near Bath Spa railway station.

There are direct trains to Bath Spa from London, the South West and beyond.

Visitors arriving by bike can get a voucher for a free hot drink and cookie at the Garden Café, when buying a normal entry ticket.

About American Museum & Gardens

The American Museum has collections of patchwork quilts, Shaker furniture, period rooms and heritage exhibitions, exploring the pre-1880s history and culture of the United States. Thirty acres of lovely gardens include a reconstruction of George Washington’s Mount Vernon garden and an arboretum.
