Visit Floors Castle car-free
From Tweedbank railway station, regular bus 67 stops at Orchard Park in Kelso close to Floors Castle gates. The castle itself is a beautiful 30-minute stroll through the woods from here. Bus 67 also runs to Kelso from Berwick-upon-Tweed railway station, but stops in the centre of town meaning visitors need to walk further or change buses there.
There are direct trains to Tweedbank from Edinburgh Waverley (about 60 mins) via Newcraighall, Brunstane (55 mins), Shawfair (40 mins), Newtongrange, Eskbank (35 mins), Gorebridge (30 mins), Stow (20 mins) and Galashiels (5 mins).
There are direct trains to Berwick-upon-Tweed train station from: Edinburgh (about 45 mins), Newcastle (45 mins), York (2 hrs) and London (4 hrs).
