It’s easy to visit Wolford Wood car-free. The campsite is located about a 5-minute bus ride or 45-minute walk from Moreton-in-Marsh train station.
Buses stop 15 minutes away from: Chipping Norton (10-15 mins), Stow-on-the-Wold (20 mins), Bourton-on-the-Water (35 mins), Cheltenham Spa (80 mins),
Trains run to Moreton-in-Marsh from: Oxford (35 mins), Worcester (30 mins) and Reading (55 mins). From there change for the bus.

There are direct trains to Moreton-in-Marsh from:
- Cotswolds Line + audio guide: Charlbury (15 mins), Evesham (15 mins), Great Malvern (60 mins), Hereford (95 mins), Ledbury (80 mins), Oxford (35 mins), Worcestershire Parkway (25 mins), Worcester Shrub Hill (30 mins).
- London line audio guide: Didcot Parkway (55 mins), London Paddington (85 mins), Reading (55 mins).
- From Birmingham you can change at Worcester (30 mins).

Continue your journey by foot, bus or flexi-bus.
- It’s a 45-minute walk from town to Wolford Wood, along a road with grass verges. There are also scenic detours along footpaths.
- Bus 801 (a scenic route operated by Pulhams) stops close by. Buses leave regularly (less on Sundays) from Moreton-in-Marsh train station. The journey takes 5-10 minutes.
- Jump off at The Four Shire Stone Farm, by ‘The Four Shires Stone‘ pillar monument. Ask the driver to let you know when you’re there. It’s then about a 15-minute walk. Follow the sign for ‘Great Wolford’ past the stone. It is flat, but there are no paths. It is mostly a straight road with a couple of bends and not too busy.

- Moreton-in-Marsh train station (5-10 mins)
- Stow-on-the-Wold Market Square (20 mins, no shelter).
