Footpaths the Angles Way and the Waveney Way pass the grounds of Somerleyton Hall and there is also a circular walk around the grounds. There is a map of the Somerleyton Hall gardens on the website.

By bus
Lowestoft area, Tuesday or Thursday
Book the Buzzabout bus in advance. You will need to give at least one hour notice. Visit the Buzzabout website, phone or email during office hours. You can request collection from anywhere near the route: home, the hall or village pub. Buses typically run from Waveney Chambers by Lowestoft train station and Somerleyton post office.
Lowestoft and Waverney, Monday to Saturday
Book the Connecting Communities bus in advance. Visit the website or phone during office hours.
By train
There are direct trains to Somerleyton on the Wherry Lines from: Brundall (25 mins), Lowestoft (10 mins), Norwich (30 mins), Oulton Broad North (5 mins), Reedham (15 mins).
Change at Lowestoft from: Beccles (15 mins), Halesworth (35 mins), Ipswich (85 mins), Saxmundham (50 mins) and Woodbridge (70 mins) on the Ipswich to Lowestoft Line. Then catch a connecting train to Somerleyton (10 mins).
Change at Norwich or Brundall from: Acle or Great Yarmouth (another branch of the Wherry Lines).

- Start out on Station Road.
- Left, following signs for the Angles Way.
- Left toward Wickerwell Cottages.
- Left at Home Farm.
- Right onto Blundeston Road.
- Left at the Somerleyton sign.
By bus via Lowestoft
Buses stop at Lowestoft bus station from:
- Beccles (bus X2 etc, 40 mins from Caxton Road),
- Great Yarmouth (bus 1 – scenic and bus X1, 55 mins from Market Gates stand C)
- Norwich (bus X1, 75 mins from bus station stand D)
- Norwich (bus X2 etc, 75 mins from bus station stand E)
- Southwold (bus 99 – scenic, 40 mins from Kings Head).

Considered one of the finest gardens in East Anglia since the mid-17th century, the Somerleyton Hall Gardens continue to delight visitors of all ages. Set over 12 acres, the garden is thoughtfully designed as a series of interconnected ‘rooms’ including the Nesfield Parterre, the White Garden, the Arboretum, home to some of the county's champion trees, and one of the finest yew hedge mazes in Britain.
