From Oxford

There are frequent buses to Woodstock seven days a week. Catch bus 7 or bus 500 from Magdalen Street, stop C3 (by Odeon Cinema). It’s a 30-minute bus ride to the Malborough Arms in Woodstock.

Bus 233 runs every half hour from Burford and Witney to Woodstock.

Bus S3 runs hourly from Chipping Norton and Charlbury to Woodstock.

From further afield

The nearest rail station is Hanborough on the Cotswold Line, from where bus 233 runs to Woodstock in just 10 minutes.

Trains also run to Oxford and Oxford Parkway stations from London and other cities, connecting with bus 500 to Woodstock.

Oxfordshire's military history museum tells stories of conflict and county from the Home Front to the front line. The museum is home to the regimental collections of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry and the Oxfordshire Yeomanry.

Explore changing exhibitions as well as a recreated Great War trench and a mock up section of a Horsa Glider from D Day. Kids can take on one of our activity trails, have a go at code-breaking, or dress up in wartime clothing and uniforms!
