Great Yarmouth is easy to get to car-free. There are direct trains from Norwich and regular buses from Norwich and local towns. From the bus and train stations, it’s about 20 minutes’ walk to Sea Life on South Parade. Check the journey planner to find the best route from where you are.

To catch the bus from Norwich, head to the bus station (stand D), and hop on bus X1 or bus X11, which run via Acle to Great Yarmouth. Jump off at Market Gates shopping centre, for a 15-minute stroll.

In summer the Coastal Clipper open-top bus 1C runs to Great Yarmouth from Hemsby Beach via Caister-on-Sea, stopping at Wellington Pier for Sea Life. Year-round buses run to Great Yarmouth (Market Gates stop) from local towns such as: Gorleston (X11, 1/1A, 8 and 6), Caister-on-Sea (1/1A, 8, 6), Lowestoft (1/1A, X1), North Walsham and Stalham (6).

There are direct trains to Great Yarmouth from: Norwich, Acle, Lingwood and Brundall. It’s then a 25-minute stroll to Sea Life. If you travel by train, you can buy a Great Yarmouth PlusBus ticket for unlimited bus travel around the town and along the coast.
