About RSPB Rye Meads

A riverside landscape of lagoons, trees and reedbeds. Look out in summer for woodpeckers, kingfishers, kestrels and a host of waterbirds, especially in winter. You might even spot green sandpipers bobbing on the scrapes or a shy bittern hiding in the reeds.
