Buses stop nearby from: Wrexham (25 mins), Ruabon (5 mins), Llangollen (10 mins), Chirk (15 mins), Bala (65 mins), Dollgelau (110 mins) and Barmouth (2.5 hrs).

Scenic train lines run to Wrexham from: Bidston (Wirral), Birmingham (100 mins), Chester (15 mins, change from Crewe or Manchester), Shrewsbury (35 mins) and Wolverhampton (80 mins).

Buses run to Wrexham bus station from: Chester (45 mins), Corwen (50 mins), Llay (20 mins), Mold (50 mins), Oswestry (50 mins), Whitchurch (50 mins) and further afield.

About Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (Pont – ker – sulth – tay) is a UNESCO listed feat of engineering in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Llangollen canal route includes 31 other listed structures, and is a popular walking and boating route. At the visitor centre you can watch videos and play in a children's activity area.
