It’s easy. The museum is located in Linlithgow town centre, just to the south of Linlithgow Cross, just a few minutes’ walk from Linlithgow Palace.

Trains run from: Glasgow (30 mins), Falkirk (10 mins), Edinburgh (15 mins) and Stirling (25 mins). Linlithgow Station is around 10 minutes walk away along the High Street.

Buses run from: Bo’ness (20 mins), Bathgate (25 mins), Falkirk (30 mins) Livingston (60 mins) and Edinburgh (70 mins). There are bus stops just a few dozen yards away at the east side of Linlithgow Cross. Buses heading East stop at the north side of the High Street; buses heading West on the south side.

When you travel by train, a Linlithgow PlusBus ticket gives you unlimited travel around the town. You can also use it to travel as far as Bo’ness, Maddiston and Threemiletown.
